Program - Los Compadres work day - Victoria Edwards
Los Compadres is our only fundraiser for the 2017-2018 Rotary year.  Without the funds from Los Compadres we aren't able to carry out our annual projects.  Clothing for Kids won't be possible, the upkeep of Memory Park would be a challenge, and we wouldn't be able to provide scholarship monies for area students- just to name a few.  It is very important that each member of the Club find a way to contribute.  You can contribute your time participating in a "day-of" task, play in the tournament, play Bunco, recruit a golf team or Bunco players, sell raffle tickets, donate items to the Silent Auction, or find Hole Sponsors.  There are many different ways you can be involved, and takes EVERY SINGLE ONE OF US.  If you haven't already, please consider on how you can better serve your Club and support the many activities that are made possible by this one afternoon.
Los Compadres will be on Friday, May 5th.
There are 5 main fundraiser opportunities:
(1) Bunco - This will be from 4-6 at La Torretta. We need players! Victoria has a flyer that you can hand out or email out. If you need a copy, please contact Victoria. It is $30 to play Bunco. If you want to play and then stay for dinner the cost is $50. There will be vendor prizes!
(2) Golf Teams - There are 19 teams currently. The goal is 25 teams. Please get Audrey any information on potential players.
(3) Auction - some big / fun auction items so far are Astros tickets, Dosey Doe tickets, Authentic British Tea, Tequila Tasting/School, Crawfish Boil. Please get the auction items and team baskets to Roz by April 27th.
(4) Raffle Tickets- Every member of the club has 12 tickets to sell. Please get the money to Lorrie or Mike. The raffle item is great! It is 12 bottles of wine with a value of over $1000 donated by Tommy Metcalf. The raffle ticket sales have the potential to raise $5,000 for the club.
(5) Hole Sponsors - Peggy Apple is doing an amazing job as usual and has several hole sponsors confirmed. However, she still needs help! Please let her know if you are available to make phone calls.

Meeting Notes taken by President Audrey this week. Thank you for your commitment to this work. We appreciate you!
