Michelle Rochinski has dedicated the past 27 years to education and athletics, shaping programs and inspiring student‑athletes across two Texas school districts. She joined Montgomery ISD in 2002 after beginning her career at Klein ISD and Klein High School, where she spent her first two years teaching and coaching. Throughout her career, Coach Rochinski has led multiple sports and built a reputation for leadership, competitiveness, and a deep commitment to developing young athletes. A head coach for the majority of her career, Rochinski has reached postseason play every year she has held that role. She holds an impressive career record of 541 wins and 171 losses, along with 11 district championships. Her excellence has been recognized widely; She has been named District Coach of the Year eight times, earned Montgomery County Coach of the Year honors five times, and guided her teams to the state tournament three times. Her program finished as state runner‑up in 2012 before capturing back‑to‑back state championships in 2022 and 2023. In 2023, she was inducted into the Katy ISD Hall of Honor, a testament to her impact both as a coach and former student‑athlete. Rochinski grew up in Katy, Texas, and attended Taylor High School, where she was a three‑year letter winner in basketball and a four‑year letter winner in softball. She continued her athletic career at the University of Texas at San Antonio before transferring to Sam Houston State University, competing in both softball and basketball. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and a minor in Special Education. Coach Rochinski has helped numerous athletes continue their playing careers at the collegiate level, reflecting her dedication to mentorship and long‑term athlete development. Michelle resides in Montgomery with her husband, Mike. Their son, Cade, played football at Howard Payne University, and their daughter, Kalee, plays softball at Troy University in Alabama. |
